How to make the felt toy Duckling – Sewing instructions
All seams are glove stitched on the right side unless otherwise stated.
Using two strands of yellow cotton, join overbody on the wrong side C to C. Join overbody to body, commencing at C over head to B, and across the back to A.
Join underbody to body from C to A, at the same time leaving an opening for stuffing.
Stuff the head and body firmly and close the seam. Make the wings by sewing each pair of wing shapes together around the edges, and sew to body as indicated on the pattern.
Join the two top beak shapes together from D to E, next the bottom beak from E to F, stuff hard and sew into position.
Join each pair of feet shapes together by sewing around outer edges, stuff a little and stitch to underside of body. Sew on small black felt eyes where marked on pattern.
