How to make the felt Kangaroo toy – Sewing instructions
All seams are glove stitched on the right side unless otherwise stated.
Fold arm darts on dotted line and saw on wrong side with small running stitches following the curved line on pattern of the chest piece.
Fold on the dotted line for pocket matching A to A, and sew up each side to complete the pocket. Join one inside leg piece to each chest piece from A to B on wrong side.
Join each body side piece to the completed chest starting from C to A around to B, leave open for stuffing.
Join seam from C under neck to D, place head inset D to D and join seams over the head to E, at the same time fold and stitch ears firmly into position where marked on pattern. Prepare the wire for legs (see General Instructions).
Push a little stuffing down the end of each foot. Push wire down the legs and feet, pack stuffing around the wire to a nice smooth finish. Join the seam from E down the back and around the tail. Stuff firmly and stitch the under tail seam.
